Brian Kingston was born on 22 February 1966. He is a politician from the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP). He currently serves as a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly (MLA) for the area of Belfast North. He started this role in 2022.
Before becoming an MLA, Brian Kingston held several important positions. He was the High Sheriff of Belfast from 2013 to 2014. He then served as the Lord Mayor of Belfast from 2016 to 2017. He was also a Belfast City Councillor for the Court area from 2010 to 2022.

Becoming a City Councillor
In 2010, Brian Kingston became a member of the Belfast City Council. He was chosen to fill a spot for the Court District. After that, people voted for him in elections. Serving as High Sheriff and Lord Mayor
In 2013, Brian Kingston was given the special title of High Sheriff of Belfast. This is an old and important ceremonial role in the city.
