Brian Lloyd Roberts, born on December 3, 1985, is a former professional basketball player from America. He played college basketball for the University of Dayton. Standing about 6 feet 2 inches tall, he played as a point guard, which is like the team's main ball-handler and play-maker.

High School Basketball Star
Brian Roberts went to St. John's Jesuit High School in Toledo, Ohio. He was a top player there. He was chosen as an All-Ohio player three times. He was also named District VII Player of the Year twice.
In 2004, Brian was named the Ohio Division I Co-Player of the Year. He led his team to the state championship game. In that final game, he scored 18 points.
College Career Highlights
Brian played college basketball for four years at the University of Dayton. He played in 125 games. On average, he scored 15.7 points, grabbed 3.0 rebounds, and made 2.8 assists per game.
He earned many awards during his college time. These included being on the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team. He was also named to the All-Atlantic 10 first team once. Twice, he was on the All-Atlantic 10 second team.
In 2008, Brian was nominated for some big awards. These included the John R. Wooden Award and the Naismith Award. These awards honor the best college basketball players.
Professional Basketball Journey
After college, Brian Roberts started his professional career. He played for teams in different countries. He also played in the NBA in the United States.
Starting in Israel
Brian was not chosen in the 2008 NBA draft. However, he still got a chance to play in the NBA Summer League. He played with the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Later, he signed with Altshuler Saham Galil Gilboa in Israel. He played there for the 2008–09 season.
Success in Germany

On July 10, 2009, Brian signed a two-year deal with Brose Baskets in Germany. He also played for the Sacramento Kings in the 2009 NBA Summer League.
In August 2011, he signed another one-year deal with Brose Baskets. While playing for Brose, he helped his team win three German League championships. They also won three German Cups.
Playing in the NBA
In July 2012, Brian joined the New Orleans Hornets for the NBA Summer League. On August 16, 2012, he signed a multi-year deal to play in the NBA with the Hornets.
On March 25, 2013, Brian had an amazing game. He made a career-high 18 assists. This helped the Hornets stop the Denver Nuggets' 15-game winning streak. In April 2013, the Hornets changed their name to the Pelicans.
Brian played for the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2013 NBA Summer League. He finished the 2013–14 NBA season with the best free throw percentage in the league.
Charlotte Hornets
On July 23, 2014, Brian signed with the Charlotte Hornets. On April 13, 2015, he scored a career-high 23 points. He did this coming off the bench in a game against the Houston Rockets.
Portland Trail Blazers
On February 16, 2016, Brian was traded to the Miami Heat. This was part of a three-team trade. Two days later, he was traded again to the Portland Trail Blazers.
On February 19, he played his first game for the Trail Blazers. He scored seven points in just four minutes.
Back to Charlotte
On July 7, 2016, Brian signed with the Charlotte Hornets again. This was his second time playing for the team.
European Basketball Again
After his time in the NBA, Brian returned to play in Europe.
Olympiacos
On July 23, 2017, Brian signed a two-year deal with the Greek team Olympiacos. This contract was worth $4 million. He played there for one season.
Unicaja
On July 13, 2018, Brian signed a one-year deal with the Spanish team Unicaja. He played for them until 2019.
