Brittany Nicole Waddell (born August 2, 1984), known as Britt Nicole, is an American singer and songwriter. She is famous for her Christian pop music. In 2012, her song "Gold" became a hit. Her album, Gold, was even nominated for a Grammy Award. Britt Nicole works with Sparrow and Capitol Records.

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Brittany Nicole Waddell was born in Kannapolis, North Carolina. She started singing at her church when she was only three years old. She also appeared on a local TV show with her brother and cousin.
Brittany was a talented dancer, learning ballet, jazz, and hip hop. In high school, she was part of an advanced choir group. They even performed at the famous Carnegie Hall in New York City. She also joined Duke University's Brightleaf Music Workshop.
Music Career
Starting Out (2003–2011)
Brittany turned down a college scholarship to focus on her music. She felt it was what she was meant to do. In 2003, she released her first album, Follow the Call.
In 2006, she signed with Sparrow Records. Her song "Indestructible" was featured on a popular Christian music CD. She also performed at big music festivals like Creation East/West. She even sang on songs for the Christian hip-hop group GRITS.
Her second album, Say It, came out in 2007. The first song from it, "You", became a Top 10 hit on Christian radio. It was one of the most played songs on Christian stations that year. Britt Nicole also opened for the 2007 Winter Jam Tour. Her song "Sunshine Girl" was even used on an MTV show.
Britt Nicole's first music video, for the song "Believe", was released in 2007. This song also became very popular on Christian radio. Later that year, she released a digital Christmas EP called Holiday Trio. It included her song "Holiday" and a cover of "Last Christmas".
In 2008, "Set the World on Fire" was released. It reached No. 11 on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart.
In 2009, Britt Nicole released "The Lost Get Found" to promote her third album. The song quickly became a Top 10 hit on Christian radio. Her album, The Lost Get Found, was released in August 2009. It reached No. 1 on the Christian Albums chart. The music video for her song "Holiday" also became popular on YouTube.
Her song "Walk on the Water" was featured on the TV show The Biggest Loser. It also reached No. 1 on Christian radio. In 2010, she released an EP called Acoustic. It had acoustic versions of her songs and a new one called "Found By You".
Recent Music (2012–Present)
In 2011, Britt Nicole announced her fourth album. The first song from it, "All This Time", was released in January. It was the No. 1 song on Christian pop radio for eight weeks! The album, called Gold, came out in March 2012. It debuted at No. 1 on the Christian albums chart.
In December 2012, she released two Christmas music videos. Britt Nicole then signed with Capitol Records. She released "Gold" as her first song for mainstream pop radio. A new version of her Gold album was released in 2013 for a wider audience. She also released a Gold EP with remixes of the song.
In 2014, her song "The Sun Is Rising" was part of the movie soundtrack for The Other Woman.
Her first remix album, The Remixes, came out in 2015. In 2016, she released "Through Your Eyes", the first song from her fifth album. Her self-titled album, Britt Nicole, was released on October 7, 2016.
Personal Life
Brittany Nicole Waddell's parents separated when she was seven years old. She has mentioned this in some of her songs.
On July 1, 2012, she married Joshua Crosby. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Ella Brave Crosby, on July 24, 2013. Britt Nicole and Joshua have three children: a daughter born in 2013, and two sons born in 2015 and 2019.
