Brittany Brooks is an American musician who plays the drums. She was born on August 5, 1985. Brittany is famous for playing drums with Scarlet Fever. This was an all-female group that toured with singer Cee Lo Green. They performed together in 2010 and 2011.
Brittany has also toured with other famous artists. In June 2012, she traveled the world with Kelis. She played in places like Bali, Singapore, and Russia. Brittany is also a founder of the group DDMC. This group includes a DJ, a drummer (Brittany), and an MC.

About Brittany Brooks
Brittany Brooks was born in Oakland, California. She grew up in a nearby town called Pittsburg, California. She finished Pittsburg High School in 2004. While in high school, she played the snare drum in the marching band. Her band even performed in parades at Walt Disney World!
After high school, Brittany moved to Los Angeles in 2006. She then graduated from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood in 2007. She even appeared in TV ads for the Institute.
How She Started
Brittany started playing drums when she was 12 years old. Her older brother, Chad, had started playing the trombone two years before. Brittany has played with many different bands and artists. She has performed with cover bands like BandShe. She also played with rising artists such as Afrosparks and Liberty Jayne.
Who Inspired Her
Brittany's first drum teacher was Angel Carrillo at her church. She was also greatly inspired by the famous drummer Sheila E. Sheila E made Brittany want to become a professional musician.
Playing with Scarlet Fever
In June 2010, Brittany joined Scarlet Fever. This was an all-female backing band for Cee Lo Green. They toured to promote his songs and albums. They played on many popular TV shows. These included The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Saturday Night Live.
Other main members of Scarlet Fever included Sharon Aguilar on lead guitar and DANiiVory on keyboards. Regina Zernay Roberts played bass guitar. After touring with Cee Lo Green, some members of Scarlet Fever kept playing together.
Forming Miss President
Brittany, Sharon Aguilar, and DANiiVory formed a new band called Miss President. They first performed as Miss President on February 10, 2013. The band chose the name "Miss President" to be "empowering" for women. They wanted to show that women can create great music, just like guys.
