How Bruce Molsky Started
When Bruce Molsky was young, he first liked blues music. Later, while studying engineering at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York starting in 1972, he fell in love with old-time music.
A famous fiddler named Tommy Jarrell greatly influenced his playing. Bruce even visited Tommy Jarrell in North Carolina in 1976 to learn from him. In 1990, Bruce Molsky recorded music with another artist named Bob Carlin.
