History of Bruceton Mills
The town of Bruceton Mills was named by an early settler, John M. Hoffman. He named it after his stepfather, George Bruce. George Bruce believed he was a direct descendant of Robert the Bruce, a famous King of Scotland! A post office was set up in Bruceton Mills way back in 1870. This town is special because it's the only place in the entire United States with the name "Bruceton Mills."
