Time at Everton

On August 31, 2012, Bryan moved to the English team Everton. He made his first appearance as a substitute in a 3–0 win against Swansea City. In his first season, he played 15 league games, mostly coming off the bench.

First Goals and Big Wins

Dealing with an Injury

On January 25, 2014, Bryan suffered a serious injury during an FA Cup match. He broke his left leg, specifically his tibia and fibula. This was a clean break that required surgery.

Everton's manager, Roberto Martínez, expressed sadness about the injury. He said Bryan was an important player and deserved a quick recovery. Unfortunately, this injury meant Bryan could not play for his national team in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He returned to play on September 23, 2014, in a League Cup match.

Moving to Sunderland

On January 30, 2017, Bryan Oviedo joined Sunderland. He signed a three-and-a-half-year contract. He made his debut for Sunderland on February 4, 2017, in a 4–0 win against Crystal Palace.
