Bryant is a friendly neighborhood located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It's part of the larger Powderhorn community. You can find Bryant between East 38th Street to the north and East 42nd Street to the south. Its eastern border is Chicago Avenue, and Interstate 35W is on its west side.

Discovering Bryant Neighborhood
Bryant is a wonderful place to live. It is mostly a residential area. This means it has many homes where families live. Most of these are single-family houses.
Who Was Bryant Named After?
The neighborhood gets its name from William Cullen Bryant. He was a famous American poet. He lived a long time ago, from 1794 to 1878.
Bryant's History and Growth
The city of Minneapolis officially recognized Bryant as a neighborhood in 1887. By the year 1930, the area was fully built up. This means most of the houses and streets were already there. In 2020, about 2,877 people called Bryant home.
Fun at Phelps Park
One of the cool spots in Bryant is Phelps Park. This park is home to a big Boys and Girls Club. These clubs offer a safe place for kids and teens. They can learn, play, and grow there.
In 1997, a special play was performed at Phelps Park. It was called In the Garden... and was created by the Mixed Blood Theatre Company. The play was about how a community garden helped bring people together in Bryant. It shared stories from people who lived in the neighborhood.
