Kamile Burcu Esmersoy (born October 2, 1976) is a well-known Turkish actress, TV host, and model. She is famous for hosting many popular television shows. Burcu also competed in beauty pageants and represented Turkey in the Miss International contest in Japan.
She has won a Golden Butterfly Award for being the Best Female Presenter. Burcu Esmersoy is one of Turkey's top female reality show hosts. She is also one of the highest-paid TV personalities in the country. She has hosted many Turkish TV shows, including Survivor, Dancing with the Stars, and Popstar. As an actress, she has appeared in films like Romantik Komedi and TV series such as Çocuklar Duymasın. Burcu Esmersoy has also been the face of many advertising campaigns. She has appeared on numerous magazine covers and in articles across Turkey.

Early Life and Education
Burcu Esmersoy was born in Istanbul, Turkey. Her family has Circassian roots, with her grandparents coming from Egypt. When she was young, her parents divorced. After her mother remarried, Burcu and her sister lived with their paternal grandparents. They became a bit distant from their mother during this time.
Burcu went to Beşiktaş Lisesi, a well-known high school in Istanbul. After high school, she studied Tourism Management at Istanbul University. She later continued her studies in Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management at New York University School of Professional Studies in New York City.
Besides her main studies, Burcu also took acting workshops. She learned a lot about performing arts. Burcu speaks Turkish very well, and she also knows some English and Italian.
Career Highlights
Burcu Esmersoy started her career in 1997. She placed third in the Miss Turkey beauty pageant that year. Later, she represented Turkey at the Miss International contest in Tokyo, Japan. There, she won a special award called "Miss Friendship."
She began her TV career hosting a children's program on Kanal D. In 2000, she joined CNN Türk's Sports News team. She worked there until 2005 as a sports presenter and editor. In 2006, she moved to NTV MSNBC and hosted the Spor Servisi (Sports Service) program.
Burcu also became a popular reality show host. She competed in the first season of Dancing with the Stars (2010–2011). She then became the host for the second season (2011–2012) of the same show. In 2013, she hosted Popstar, a singing competition based on the British show Pop Idol. She also hosted Ver Fırına on TV8, which was the Turkish version of the British baking competition The Great British Bake Off. She co-hosted Elin Oğlu on ATV, a talk show based on a South Korean program.
Personal Life
Burcu Esmersoy has been married a few times. In 2005, she married Massimo Cusimano, who worked for Scuderia Ferrari in Formula One. They got married in Paris, France, and later in Bologna, Italy. For a short time, Burcu lived in Maranello, Italy, which is where the Ferrari S.p.A company is located. They divorced in 2008.
From May 2018 to September 2019, Burcu was married to Berk Suyabatmaz. In September 2023, she married Nazım Akmandil, a computer game designer.
