Burlington is found in the middle of Bradford County. It sits on the north side of Sugar Creek. This creek eventually flows into the larger Susquehanna River.

Burlington is surrounded by Burlington Township on three sides (north, east, and south). To the west, you'll find West Burlington Township.
A main road, U.S. Route 6, goes right through the center of Burlington. You can travel about 10 miles (16 km) east on this road to reach Towanda, which is the county seat. If you go about 10 miles (16 km) west, you'll arrive in Troy.
