Burnsville is a small town in Braxton County, West Virginia, United States. It is located where the Little Kanawha River meets Saltlick Creek. In 2020, about 401 people lived there.

The town was officially started in 1902. It was named after Captain John Burns. He set up the first sawmill in the area. Captain Burns also founded the town not long after the American Civil War ended. In 1976, Burnsville was given the special title "All West Virginia City."
