Busby is a small community in Big Horn County, Montana, United States. It is called a "census-designated place" (CDP) because it's a recognized area for counting people, even though it's not a formal town. Busby is located within the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation. In 2020, about 719 people lived there.

About Busby, Montana
Busby is named after its first postmaster, Sheridan Busby. The post office was set up in 1904.
Historical Connections
Busby is about 20 miles (32 km) northeast of the Rosebud Battlefield State Park. This park is where the famous Battle of the Rosebud happened in 1876. In this battle, General George Crook's soldiers fought against Sioux and Cheyenne warriors led by Crazy Horse.
In 1936, a monument for Two Moons, a Cheyenne chief, was built in Busby by a trader named W. P. Moncure.

Education in Busby
