Cabrillo Beach is home to some well-known landmarks. One is the long Los Angeles Breakwater, which stretches for about 1.75 miles. It ends at the historic Angeles Gate Lighthouse. There's also the recently fixed-up Cabrillo Beach Bathhouse and the interesting Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. Every summer, lifeguards and local people hold the annual Angel's Gate Lighthouse Swim competition at the lighthouse.
