Cabrils is a town and municipality in the Maresme region of Catalonia, Spain. It's located in the province of Barcelona. Cabrils is nestled between other towns like Vilassar de Mar and Argentona. It's about ten kilometers from Mataró, which is the main city of the Maresme area.

The town is surrounded by the hills of Cirers and Montcabrer. You'll find lots of forests with pine trees and holm oaks here. Cabrils is mostly known for its many homes and neighborhoods.

History of Cabrils

Cabrils first appeared in historical records in the year 1037. At that time, it was part of the area controlled by the nearby castle of Vilassar de Dalt. Cabrils remained under the castle's rule for a very long time.

It wasn't until 1820 that Cabrils gained its independence. In that year, it became its own town with its own local government. This meant it could manage its own affairs and make its own decisions.
