The Cady Mountains are a mountain range found in the Mojave Desert. They are located in San Bernardino County, California. This area is also part of the Mojave Trails National Monument.

These mountains are situated between two major highways, Interstate 15 and Interstate 40. They are just east of a small town called Newberry Springs. To the west of the Cady Mountains, you'll find the Bristol Mountains.

Mountain Peaks and Features

The Cady Mountains reach a height of about 1,072 meters (3,980 feet) above sea level. The highest point is a peak known as "Sleeping Beauty." This peak is located at the southern end of the mountain range.

Nearby Natural Wonders

South of the Cady Mountains, on the other side of Interstate 40, is the Pisgah Crater. This is a volcanic cone, which is a type of volcano that looks like a cone-shaped hill. It's a cool example of the volcanic activity that shaped parts of the Mojave Desert long ago.

The Mojave Desert Environment

The Cady Mountains are part of the vast Mojave Desert. This desert is known for its unique plants and animals. It has hot summers and mild winters. The landscape often features rugged mountains, wide valleys, and interesting rock formations. Being part of the Mojave Trails National Monument helps protect this special environment.
