Caelynn Marie Bell (née Miller-Keyes; born June 15, 1995) is an American television personality, model, and beauty pageant winner. She became well-known after appearing on The Bachelor in 2019.

Her Early Life and School

Caelynn Miller-Keyes was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Her parents are Jerry Keyes and Jai-leah Miller. She grew up with her mother and stepfather, John Kamenicky. Her mother and grandmother are Native American. They are both part of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. Caelynn's grandmother on her father's side was the first woman to lead the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Los Angeles.

When Caelynn was a child, she had a serious illness called encephalitis. This illness affects the brain. Doctors thought she might not walk again. But she fully recovered and was able to walk normally. She went to Stafford Senior High School. Later, she studied broadcast journalism at Virginia Commonwealth University. Before winning Miss North Carolina USA, she moved to Asheville, North Carolina. There, she worked as a social media consultant.

Becoming a Pageant Queen

Caelynn started competing in beauty pageants when she was 16. Her first competition was Miss Virginia Teen USA 2013. She won this state title on her first try. Then, she represented Virginia at Miss Teen USA 2013 in the Bahamas. She did not place in this national pageant. Cassidy Wolf from California won the title that year.

After a few years, Caelynn returned to pageants. She competed in Miss Virginia USA in 2016 and 2017. She placed third runner-up and then first runner-up in those years. After moving to North Carolina, she competed in Miss North Carolina USA 2018. She represented Asheville and won the title.

As Miss North Carolina USA, Caelynn competed in Miss USA 2018. This competition was held in Shreveport, Louisiana. She finished as the first runner-up. Sarah Rose Summers from Nebraska won the Miss USA title. Caelynn could not crown her successor because she was filming The Bachelor. So, Cheslie Kryst was crowned by Miss North Carolina Teen USA 2018 Kaaviya Sambasivam instead.

On Reality TV Shows

In 2018, Caelynn was chosen to be on season 23 of The Bachelor. The show starred former football player Colton Underwood. Filming happened in the fall of 2018. The American Broadcasting Company (ABC) announced her as a contestant in December 2018. Another contestant, Hannah Brown, was Miss Alabama USA 2018. She was Caelynn's roommate at the Miss USA pageant.

Caelynn placed fourth on The Bachelor. Colton Underwood eliminated her during the "hometown dates" part of the show. This episode aired on February 25, 2019. She then appeared on season six of Bachelor in Paradise in August 2019. She chose to leave the show with her boyfriend, Dean Unglert. This episode aired on September 9, 2019.

Her Life Today

Caelynn Miller-Keyes started dating Dean Unglert during Bachelor in Paradise season six. In January 2021, they bought a house together in Summerlin, Nevada. They moved there permanently in April of that year. They got engaged in October 2022.

Caelynn and Dean got married on September 23, 2023. Their wedding was at a private mountain spot in Meredith, Colorado. After they got married, they both changed their last names to Bell. They did this to honor Dean's late mother.
