Paulo Cézar Lima (born 16 June 1949), known as Caju, is a Brazilian former professional footballer. He played as an attacking midfielder. Caju played for many clubs in Brazil, including Botafogo. He also played for Marseille in France. He was a key player for the Brazil national team in the 1960s and 1970s. He played 57 games and scored 10 goals for his country.

Early Football Career
Caju spent his early years in Honduras. His father, Marinho Rodrigues, was a football manager there. In the mid-1960s, his father became the manager of a Colombian club, Junior de Barranquilla.
Caju started his professional career at just 16 years old with Junior de Barranquilla. He played alongside famous Brazilian players like Dida and Escurinho.
Playing for Botafogo
In 1967, when he was 17, Caju joined Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas. He quickly became a very important player for the team. He helped Botafogo win the Campeonato Carioca (the championship of the state of Rio de Janeiro) multiple times.
He also won many other trophies with Botafogo. This made him a highly respected and celebrated player in the club's history.
International Success with Brazil
Caju is best known for being a member of the Brazil national team. He played in the World Cup in 1970 and 1974.
With the Brazil national team, he played 57 games and scored 10 goals. He was part of the legendary 1970 World Cup-winning team.
Awards and Recognition
Caju was recognized as one of Brazil's top players. He was part of the Brazilian Bola de Ouro team of the season in 1970, 1972, 1976, and 1977.
In the 1990s, a documentary film was made about Paulo César Lima by João Moreira Salles. The film showed his exciting playing style and how he adapted to life after his football career.
