His song "Envy Me" came out on September 13, 2018, and quickly became very popular. This song was later included on his first EP, Wildboy, which was released on May 31, 2019. Because of this success, Calboy signed a deal with Polo Grounds Music and RCA Records.
After Wildboy, Calboy released another EP called Long Live the Kings in March 2020. A few months later, he released a special "deluxe" version of this EP with six new songs. In August 2020, Calboy was chosen for XXL magazine's "Freshman Class," which highlights new and rising hip-hop artists.
In March 2021, Calboy released "Miseducation," a song featuring famous rapper Lil Wayne. This song was meant to be on his first full album, Redemption, but the album's release was delayed.
By early 2022, Calboy shared that he was feeling unhappy with his record labels, Polo Grounds and RCA Records, because of disagreements about his music and career.
