Calvin Lashon Woods (born April 3, 1999), known as Calboy, is an American rapper and singer. He grew up in Calumet City, Illinois. Calboy became famous for his 2018 song "Envy Me". This song was very popular and reached the top 40 on the Billboard music chart. Its success helped him sign with Polo Grounds Music and RCA Records. He then released his first album, Wildboy, in 2019.

About Calboy's Early Life
Calvin Lashon Woods was born on April 3, 1999, in Chicago. Later, his family moved to Calumet City, Illinois. Calvin grew up in a family with five children and was raised by his single mother. They often moved between different homes. Music became a way for him to express his feelings about growing up. His cousin was the rapper King Von.
Calboy's Music Career
Starting Out (2016–2017)
Calboy began his music journey by releasing mixtapes. His first mixtape, The Chosen One, came out on July 7, 2017. Later that year, he released his second mixtape, Anxiety, on December 7, 2017.
Rising to Fame (2018–2021)
In June 2018, Calboy released his third mixtape, Calboy, the Wildboy. This mixtape included a song called "Unjudge Me" with rapper Moneybagg Yo.
His song "Envy Me" was released on September 13, 2018. It quickly became a huge hit. The song was so successful that it earned a "quintuple platinum" award. This means it sold or streamed millions of copies! "Envy Me" was the main song from his first album, Wildboy, which came out on May 31, 2019.
Because of the success of "Envy Me", Calboy signed a record deal with Polo Grounds Music and RCA Records. In March 2020, he released another album called Long Live The Kings. An updated version of this album came out in July with new songs. In August 2020, Calboy was chosen for XXL magazine's "Freshman Class." This list highlights new and exciting hip-hop artists.
In March 2021, Calboy released "Miseducation" featuring the famous rapper Lil Wayne. This song was meant to be on his first official album, Redemption. However, the album's release was delayed. Calboy later shared that he had some disagreements with his record labels.
Recent Music (2022–Present)
Calboy has continued to release new music. In 2022, he released the album "Black Heart." He followed this with another album in 2023 called "UNCHAINED."
