California's 23rd congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of California. It made up of Kern County and parts of Los Angeles and Tulare counties. The cities in the district are Porterville, Ridgecrest, most of Bakersfield, and part of Lancaster.

House Minority Leader, Kevin McCarthy is the current representative for the district. Kevin McCarthy has been the representative since 2013. The 13th district was first created in 1943. The district is the most Republican district in California.
