Call of the Jungles (in Russian, Зов джунглей, which means "Jungles Are Calling") was a super popular Russian TV game show for kids! It was all about adventure and fun challenges. The show even won a special award called TEFI.
It was created by Sergei Suponev, who was also the main host for a long time. The show first aired in 1993 and ran for many years, bringing jungle excitement right into your living room! Each episode lasted about 25 minutes.

What Was Call of the Jungles?
Call of the Jungles was a children's game show that put two teams against each other. It was designed to be exciting and engaging for young viewers. The show was known for its energetic atmosphere and fun physical challenges.
The Jungle Adventure Begins
The show first started airing on Channel One Russia in 1993. It quickly became a favorite for many families. It was shown on Saturdays, making it a perfect weekend treat. The show ran for about two years with Sergei Suponev as the host.
Later, in 1995, the show came back! Different hosts took over the jungle adventures. Pyotr Fyodorov Sr. hosted in 1997 and 1998. Then, Nikolai Gadomsky hosted from 1998 until the show ended in 2002.
Meet the Teams: Predators vs. Herbivores
In every episode, two teams of four kids competed. They were called "The Predators" and "The Herbivores." Each player wore a T-shirt with an animal print. This showed which animal they represented.

- The Herbivores team animals included:
* An elephant * A panda * A koala * A monkey
The teams would compete in various games and challenges. These challenges often involved physical activities and puzzles. The goal was to earn points and win the "Call of the Jungles" trophy!
Who Made the Jungle Roar?
Many talented people worked to make Call of the Jungles a success.
- Creator and Director: Sergei Suponev not only created the show but also directed many episodes. He was the heart of the show for many years.
- Music: The exciting music for the show was composed by Viktor Prudkovsky. The opening theme song, "Djungli Zovut" ("Jungles Are Calling"), was even performed by Sergei Suponev himself!
- Producer: Sergei Suponev was also the producer, making sure everything ran smoothly.
- Editor: Yana Nevzorova was the editor, putting all the exciting footage together.
The show ran for nine seasons and had over 200 episodes. It was a big part of Russian children's television for almost a decade.
