Calmar is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located in Leduc County, on Highway 39. This is about 35 kilometers (22 miles) southwest of Edmonton. The town was named in 1900 after Kalmar, Sweden. This was the hometown of its first postmaster, C. J. Blomquist.
