The Calvin Coolidge Presidential Library is found inside the Forbes Library. This library is in Northampton, Massachusetts. Calvin Coolidge lived in Northampton for many years. He also worked as a lawyer and was even the mayor of the city.
How the Library Started
The idea for the Coolidge Library began in 1920. That's when Calvin Coolidge started giving his records and special items to the Forbes Library. This collection grew over time. In 1956, the state of Massachusetts helped create the Calvin Coolidge Memorial Room. This happened because Grace Coolidge, President Coolidge's wife, wanted to honor him.
