Cameron McGrone is an American football player. He was born on June 22, 2000. Cameron plays as a linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts are a team in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Michigan Wolverines. The New England Patriots picked him in the 2021 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School
Cameron McGrone grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. He went to Lawrence Central High School there. In his junior year, he had a serious knee injury. This injury is called a torn ACL.
Even after his injury, he played well in his senior year. He made 84 tackles and four sacks in seven games. A sack is when a player tackles the opposing quarterback. Cameron also played in the 2018 U.S. Army All-American Game. This is a special game for top high school players. He decided to play college football at the University of Michigan.
College Football Journey
Cameron started his college career at Michigan in 2018. He played in only one game that year. In 2019, he was a "redshirt freshman." This means he was in his second year but still had four years of playing eligibility.
He began the 2019 season as a backup player. But he became a starter when another player got hurt. Cameron played in 13 games that year. He started 10 of those games. He made 66 tackles and four sacks. He showed he was a strong player for Michigan.
Playing in the NFL

New England Patriots
