How Camila Played Tennis

Camila Giorgi was a baseline player, meaning she mostly played from the back of the court. She had a very aggressive style. She liked to hit the ball early, right after it bounced, and hit powerful, flat shots. Her best shot was her two-handed backhand, which she could use to hit winners from anywhere. She was known for hitting the ball with incredible power.

Camila often used strong serves followed by powerful forehands to win points quickly. She tried to hit the ball at sharp angles to surprise her opponents and hit winners. She often aimed for the lines on the court, which meant she hit many winning shots but also made many mistakes.

One part of her game that was sometimes tricky was her serve. She often took risks on her second serve, which sometimes led to double faults (when you miss both serves). In 2015, she had the most double faults recorded in WTA history. However, she was also very good at returning serves, often hitting deep returns and winning points directly from them. Her favorite courts to play on were fast hard courts and grass courts.

Sponsors

Camila Giorgi wore special tennis clothes designed by her mother. The brand name is Giomila. For her tennis racquets, she used Babolat racquets until 2021. After that, she switched to using Yonex VCORE 100 racquets.
