Campanero is a small town located in the Santa Cruz Department of Bolivia. Bolivia is a country in South America.
Where is Campanero?
Campanero is a town found in the Cotoca Municipality in Andrés Ibáñez Province. It sits at an elevation of 343 meters (about 1,125 feet) above sea level. The town is located about 18 kilometers west of the Río Grande, which is one of the biggest rivers in the lowlands of Bolivia.
Getting to Campanero
Campanero is about 24 kilometers east of Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz is the capital city of the Santa Cruz Department.
To get there from Santa Cruz, you can take Avenue Virgen de Cotoca heading east. You will pass the town of Cotoca after about 18 kilometers. Campanero is just six more kilometers past Cotoca.
From Campanero, a main road called Ruta 4/Ruta 9 continues east. This road crosses the Río Grande at a place called Puerto Pailas. On the eastern side of the river, you will reach Pailón.
From Pailón, Ruta 4 goes another 587 kilometers east to Puerto Suárez, which is on the border with Brazil. Ruta 9 heads north for 1175 kilometers to Guayaramerin.
