What are the Four Corners?
The name "Four Corners" comes from the three main roads that meet there. These roads are High Street, Main Street, and Deerfield Road.
Important Roads in Candia
High Street runs from east to west and is part of New Hampshire Route 27. This road connects places like Hooksett to the west and Hampton Beach to the east.
Long ago, High Street was the main road for traveling east and west through southern New Hampshire. However, a newer, bigger road called New Hampshire Route 101 was built. Route 101 is a four-lane expressway that now handles most of the traffic, running south of Candia Four Corners.
Main Street goes south from the Four Corners, and Deerfield Road goes north. Together, these two roads make up part of New Hampshire Route 43. This route starts in Candia at Route 101.
