Building WooHoo World: Oopsy's Big Mess
The Care Bears are super busy building WooHoo World. This is Care-a-lot's very own amusement park! Oopsy Bear, Cheer Bear, Funshine Bear, Share Bear, and Grumpy Bear all have jobs. Oopsy's job is to paint the tracks for the Funderbolt ride.
He finishes one part of the tracks. But then he realizes he's stuck! Suddenly, Oopsy slips into the paint. He slides all the way down the ride by himself.
The Funderbolt Ride and a Chain Reaction
Cheer, Share, Funshine, and Oopsy decide to try the Funderbolt ride. After their ride, Oopsy stumbles. This causes a huge chain reaction of small disasters! Grumpy and the other bears wonder if they can fix everything. They need to get it done before the grand opening.
Oopsy feels really bad about the mess he made. He wants to help his friends fix things. Funshine suggests that Oopsy put up signs around Care-a-Lot. This job will keep Oopsy from causing more trouble. Cheer also gives Oopsy a special whistle. He can use it if he ever needs her help.
Grizzle's Sneaky Plan to Steal Belly Badges
Meanwhile, there's a grumpy bear named Grizzle. He doesn't understand the Care Bears' "caring stuff." Grizzle has a new plan to take over Care-a-Lot. He creates a special "ride" called the "CareTaker." This machine is designed to steal the Care Bears' belly badges!
But Grizzle needs three things to make his CareTaker work. He needs a smiling sun, like Funshine's symbol. He also needs a crying stormcloud, like Grumpy's symbol. And finally, he needs a rainbow, like Cheer's symbol. Grizzle sends his helper, Wingnut, to Care-a-Lot to get these three items.
Oopsy Meets Wingnut and Helps Grizzle
Wingnut meets Oopsy in Care-a-Lot. They become friends! Wingnut then takes Oopsy to Grizzle's secret lair. Grizzle tells Oopsy that he made a new ride. To make it work, Oopsy must gather the sunshine, the stormcloud, and the rainbow.
Oopsy and Wingnut go back to Care-a-Lot. Later, they return to Grizzle's lair. They bring the sunshine and the stormcloud. But Grizzle isn't happy with the rainbow. It's just painted on Oopsy's backside! Grizzle says they need a "real" rainbow.
Cheer's Rainbow and the CareTaker's Power
Oopsy remembers Cheer's whistle. He uses it to call Cheer for help. Grizzle then uses Cheer's real rainbow to power his CareTaker. He tells Cheer to try out the new ride. Cheer rides the CareTaker, and her rainbow symbol disappears!
Grizzle falls out of his metal suit. He gets very angry and quickly gets back into his suit. Then, he locks Oopsy and Cheer in a slammer. He tells them his evil plan. He wants to take all the belly badges from all the Care Bears. Then he will take over Care-a-Lot! After explaining, he leaves them trapped.
Finding a Solution and Saving the Day
Oopsy feels terrible about the situation. But Cheer helps him feel better. She encourages him to think of a way to save everyone. Suddenly, Oopsy spots one of his tools. He uses it to open the bars of their prison!
Just then, WooHoo World is opening for business! When Oopsy and Cheer return to Care-a-Lot, they see a terrible sight. Grizzle has stolen all the Care Bears' belly badges! He has put them inside a clear ball. Grizzle announces that he will use the belly badge magic to conquer Care-a-Lot.
The Magic of Caring Returns
But when Grizzle tries to use the magic, it doesn't work for him. Oopsy points out that the magic only works for the Care Bears. It works for those who truly care. Grizzle then tries to use the Funderbolt ride to destroy the belly badges. He manages to break the ball! All the Care Bears are very sad.
Oopsy tells every Care Bear to hold hands. He asks them to remember who they are and how much they care. The magic comes back! All the belly badges return to every Care Bear. Oopsy gets his own drawn-on belly badge back too. Wingnut decides to stay with the Care Bears. He sends Grizzle back to his lair.
WooHoo World Reopens and a New Ride Name
The next day, WooHoo World reopens! Grumpy names a new part of the Funderbolt ride. It's a corkscrew-shaped ride called "Oopsy Loopsy." The movie ends with the Care Bears enjoying WooHoo World with Wingnut. Many of them are riding the Funderbolt.
The end credits show pictures of children. They are showing off their Care Bears teddy bears.
