Carey is a small city in Blaine County, Idaho, United States. In 2010, about 604 people lived there. Carey is known for its farms and is where the Blaine County Fair is held.
It's close to cool places like the Craters of the Moon National Monument, Carey Lake, and the Little Wood River. These spots are great for exploring nature and outdoor fun. Not far away is Sun Valley, a popular resort.

History of Carey
Carey was started around 1884 by a group of people from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The community was named after James Carey, who was one of the first settlers in the area.
Where is Carey?
Carey is located in the southern part of Blaine County. It sits along the Little Wood River. To the northwest are the Snake River lava fields, which are ancient volcanic areas.
Three important U.S. highways, Route 20, Route 26, and Route 93, all pass through the city. This makes it easy to get to and from Carey.
The city covers an area of about 3.31 square miles (8.57 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
