Carl J. Henry was born on August 16, 1960. He is an American former professional basketball player. He played as a shooting guard and was 6 feet 6 inches tall. Carl Henry played in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Early Life and College Basketball

Carl Henry was born in Hollis, Oklahoma. He went to U. S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City. After high school, he played college basketball.

He played for two different universities:

At the University of Kansas, Carl Henry was a top scorer. He led the team in points during the 1982–83 and 1983–84 seasons. In his junior year, he scored about 16.8 points per game. In his senior year, he averaged 17.4 points per game.

Professional Career

After college, Carl Henry was chosen in the 1984 NBA draft. The Kansas City Kings picked him as the 80th player overall. This was the tenth pick in the fourth round.

He played 28 games in the NBA during the 1985–86 season. By then, the Kansas City Kings team had moved. They were renamed the Sacramento Kings. Carl Henry also played basketball in other leagues. His last professional team was Bobcat Gent in Belgium in 1993.

After Playing Basketball

After his playing career, Carl Henry became a coach. He coached for the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball teams. He also worked as a personal trainer. He helped young players get ready for professional basketball.
