Carl J. Henry, born on August 16, 1960, is an American former professional basketball player. He played as a shooting guard and was 6 feet 6 inches tall and weighed 205 pounds. Carl Henry played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and also had a great college basketball career.

Carl Henry's College Basketball Journey
Carl Henry was born in Hollis, Oklahoma. He went to U. S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City. After high school, he played college basketball at two different universities. He played for Oklahoma City University from 1979 to 1981. Later, he played for the University of Kansas from 1982 to 1984.
Leading Scorer at Kansas
At the University of Kansas, Carl Henry was a star player. He was the top scorer for the Kansas Jayhawks in both the 1982–83 and 1983–84 seasons. In his junior year (1982–83), he scored an average of 16.8 points per game. In his senior year (1983–84), he improved even more, averaging 17.4 points per game.
Professional Basketball Career
After his successful college career, Carl Henry was chosen in the 1984 NBA draft. The Kansas City Kings picked him as the 80th player overall, in the tenth pick of the fourth round.
Playing in the NBA
Carl Henry played 28 games in the NBA during the 1985–86 NBA season. By then, the Kansas City Kings team had moved and become the Sacramento Kings. So, he played for the Sacramento Kings. After his time in the NBA, Carl Henry continued to play basketball professionally. His last professional team was Bobcat Gent in Belgium, where he played in 1993.
Life After Playing Basketball
After retiring from playing, Carl Henry stayed involved with basketball. He became a coach for AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) basketball teams. He also worked as a personal trainer, helping young basketball players get ready for professional careers.
