Carla Marie Williams grew up in Wealdstone, which is a part of Harrow, London, England. When she was 10 years old, she formed a girl group called the Likkle Mentions. They sang in local competitions and appeared on local radio shows.
School Days
Williams completed her GCSEs and then studied her A-Levels. She attended Bentley Wood High School, which is a school for girls in Harrow. After finishing her A-Levels, she spent four years helping young musicians. She worked as a youth mentor, guiding new songwriters and artists.

Carla Marie Williams started writing songs full-time in 2006. She had lost her singing voice due to muscle tension. She then signed with a music company called Xenomania. There, she worked as a songwriter with Brian Higgins.
