Carolina's Career Journey
Starting Out in Media
Carolina Sandoval studied journalism and theater in Venezuela. Her first time on TV was in a Venezuelan soap opera called Amor Mio. She also started her career as an announcer with famous humorist Luis Chataing.
Before TV, Carolina wrote for magazines like Venezuela Farandula and Revista Ronda. She also worked for newspapers such as El National and El Globo de Caracas, and was a reporter for RCTV.
Moving to Miami: 2000s
In 2001, Carolina moved to Miami, USA. There, she appeared on American television for the first time on the entertainment show El Gordo y la Flaca. She also worked as a reporter for Univision's popular show Sábado Gigante.
From 2001 to 2007, she was a host for Infraganti, an entertainment show on the CaribeVisión network. In 2009, Carolina joined a radio segment called "Efectos Secundarios" ("Side Effects"). She also appeared on Escándalo TV in a segment called "El Lavadero" until the show ended in 2011.
Busy Years: 2010 to Present
The 2010s were very busy for Carolina. On January 24, 2010, she took part in a special Univisión show called Unidos por Haiti (United for Haiti). This program helped raise money for people affected by the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
She was often invited to co-host popular shows like Escándalo TV on TeleFutura and ¡Despierta América!. In June 2010, she helped host Bienvenido el Mundial (Welcome to the World Cup), celebrating the FIFA World Cup. Later that year, she was named "best co-host of 2010" by People en Español magazine.
In 2011, People En Espanol also included Carolina on their list of the "50 most beautiful people." She continued to co-host shows and appeared in a play in Miami. For the second year in a row, People en Español named her "best co-host." She also appeared on the cover of Gente Latina magazine and co-hosted Teletón Mexico on TeleFutura.
Since 2013, Carolina Sandoval has been a panelist on the TV show Suelta la Sopa on Telemundo. On this show, she shares interesting details about the lives of famous soap opera stars.
