Carolina Sandoval Guzman, often called La Venenosa (which means "the Venomous One"), was born in Venezuela on November 24, 1973. She is a talented TV presenter, journalist, writer, and actress. She has worked as a broadcaster and a news anchor.

About Carolina Sandoval's Career
Her Early Career
Carolina Sandoval studied journalism at the Central University of Venezuela. She also studied theater at the University Institute of Theater in Venezuela. Her very first time on television was in a Venezuelan soap opera called Amor Mio (My Love). This show was on the Venevisión network.
Sandoval's first job as an announcer was with a speaker and humorist named Luis Chataing. She also started working in print media about 15 years ago. She wrote for magazines like Venezuela Farandula, Revista Ronda, and Enquirer. Carolina also worked for newspapers such as El National (The National) and El Globo de Caracas (The Caracas Globe). She was also a correspondent, which means she reported news, for RCTV.
Moving to Miami and TV Success
Carolina Sandoval has lived in Miami since 2001. There, she first appeared on American television on an entertainment show called El Gordo y la Flaca. She also worked as a correspondent for Univision's popular show Sábado Gigante. Sandoval was featured in magazines like TVyNovelas and Tvnotas in the U.S. By the end of 2002, she was working on a radio entertainment program with El Gordo Cadelago on Radio Unica.
From 2001 to 2007, she was a host and helper on Infraganti. This was an entertainment show on the CaribeVisión network. In early 2009, Sandoval appeared on a radio segment called "Efectos Secundarios" ("Side Effects"). She also appeared on Escándalo TV in a segment called "El Lavadero." She stayed on this show until it ended in October 2011.
Big Shows and Special Events
On January 24, 2010, Carolina Sandoval took part in a special Univisión program. It was called Unidos por Haiti (United for Haiti). She joined famous people like Juanes and Raúl De Molina. The show was hosted by Don Francisco to raise money for people affected by the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
Later in 2010, she was invited to co-host Escándalo TV and ¡Despierta América!. On June 13, she helped host Bienvenido el Mundial (Welcome to the World Cup). This show welcomed the FIFA World Cup. In North Carolina, Sandoval received an award for being a very bold host. She also hosted a special show remembering Michael Jackson. On July 14, Sandoval appeared on Univisión's Don Francisco Presenta. There, she shared stories about her life. She was also invited to Mexico to co-host a show called Shanik En Formula.
In November 2010, she started an online forum on Univision.com. That same month, People en Español magazine named her the best co-host of 2010. In December, she was invited to a special dinner honoring the President of the Dominican Republic.
In 2011, People En Espanol again chose Sandoval for its list of the 50 most beautiful people. She was interviewed with her daughter for Univisión's Saturday show Viva La Familia (Live The Family). Sandoval was also part of a discussion group on TeleFutura's Famosos. TVyNovelas magazine featured an article about her home. She co-hosted Viva La Familia and Escándalo TV again. Sandoval also acted in a play in Miami called Monologando: porque hablar solo no es de Locos.
In 2011, People en Español named Sandoval the best co-host for the second year in a row. She co-hosted ¡Despierta América! with Karla Martínez and Raúl González. In December, she was on the cover of Gente Latina magazine. She also co-hosted Teletón Mexico on TeleFutura. She presented awards during the finale of Protagonistas and hosted Tómbola from October 2011 to January 2012.
Since 2013, Sandoval has been a part of the TV show Suelta la Sopa on Telemundo. On this show, she shares interesting details about the lives of famous soap opera stars.
A Health Challenge
In January 2011, Carolina Sandoval had surgery because of a health challenge related to her thyroid.
