Early Political Interests
Carolina's family had a history of being involved in politics. They supported a political idea called federalism, which means different regions of a country have more power to make their own decisions. Her father was a local politician in Santa Margarida de Montbui in the 1980s.
Carolina herself joined a political party called the Socialists' Party of Catalonia (PSC) for six years. She was also a leader in the youth branch of that party. However, she felt that the party was not focusing enough on federalism. Because of this, Carolina decided to leave the PSC in 2010.
