Caroline Sara Dubois (born January 11, 2001) is a talented British professional boxer. She became the WBC women's lightweight world champion in December 2024. Before turning professional, Caroline was an amazing amateur boxer. She won the Youth Olympic Games, the World Youth Championship, and was a four-time European Youth champion. Caroline is also the younger sister of heavyweight boxing world champion Daniel Dubois.

Caroline Dubois's Early Life

Caroline Dubois grew up in a big family. She is one of eleven children. Her father, who is from Grenada, raised her and her siblings.

Caroline's Amateur Boxing Journey

Caroline started boxing when she was nine years old. Even though there were girls-only boxing clubs, her father wanted her to train at a top club. This was the same club where her older brother Daniel had trained. For her first few months at Repton Amateur Boxing Club, Caroline pretended to be a boy named Colin.

Winning Junior Championships

In 2017, Caroline won the European Junior Championships. She beat Nune Asatryan in the final. All the judges agreed she won. The next year, she won the English National Youth Championships. She had another clear win against Ellis Hopkins.

Becoming a World Youth Champion

Caroline made history in August 2018. She became England's first World Youth Champion. She won against Nune Asatryan again. Before that, she had also won her semi-final match. At the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics, Caroline won the gold medal. She beat Porntip Buapa in the final match.

More Youth Titles and Awards

In 2019, Caroline won the European Youth Championships again. She won her semi-final against Amina Abramova. Then, she won the final against Asatrian. Her next fight was the final of the England Boxing National Youth Championships. She won that too. By February 2020, Caroline had not lost a single fight. She was hoping to become a professional boxer.

Caroline also received special awards. She won the SportsAid One-to-Watch award in 2018. She was chosen from about 1,000 young athletes. She was also named BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2019.

Olympic Qualification

Caroline qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics at a special tournament. She won a silver medal there. She lost to Kellie Harrington in the final. When Caroline became a professional boxer, her amateur record was 37 wins and 3 losses.

Caroline's Professional Boxing Career

Caroline Dubois started her professional boxing career in February 2022. She won her first professional fight against Vaida Masiokaite. The judges decided she won on points.

Early Professional Wins

In March 2022, Caroline had a quick win. She stopped Martina Horgasz in the first round. This fight happened at Wembley Arena. In December 2022, she won against her opponent, Rodriguez, by TKO. This win also happened in the first round.

Winning World Titles

On September 30, 2023, Caroline fought in London, England. She defeated Magali Rodriguez. Caroline won by a unanimous decision from the judges. With this win, she took the IBO lightweight belt.

In July 2024, Caroline signed a big deal with Boxxer. She then fought Maira Moneo for the interim WBC women's lightweight world title. This fight took place on August 3, 2024. Caroline won by a unanimous decision. The judges scored the fight 100-90, 100-89, and 99-90.

On December 11, 2024, Caroline became the full WBC female lightweight champion. This happened after Katie Taylor gave up the title.

Caroline defended her titles against Jessica Camara on January 11, 2025. The fight ended in a technical draw. This was because Camara got a cut above her eye from an accidental clash of heads. The ringside doctor stopped the fight in the third round.

Caroline defended her WBC Lightweight Title again on March 7, 2025. She won against Bo Mi Re Shin by a majority decision.
