Cascade is a small, quiet community in the northeastern part of Wayne County, Missouri, in the United States. It's not a city or a town with its own government, but rather an "unincorporated community." You can find it along Missouri Supplemental Route M. It's about 18 miles west of a place called Marble Hill. Cascade is nestled near two creeks: Little Creek and Big Creek. Another community, Gravelton, is just a mile east of Cascade.
A Look Back: Cascade's History
How Cascade Got Its Name
For many years, Cascade had its own post office. It opened in 1910 and served the community until it closed in 2005. The name "Cascade" is quite special! It comes from the beautiful waterfalls that were once found close to where the community first started. Imagine a place named after a series of small, flowing waterfalls – that's Cascade!
