A Green Road Trip

From 2012 to 2015, the Washington State Department of Transportation and a group called Plug-In North Central Washington worked together. They built 32 charging stations along the byway. These stations are spaced about 25 to 50 miles (40 to 80 km) apart. This makes it easy for people with electric vehicles to travel the entire loop without worrying about running out of power.
