Where is Cathedral Located?
Cathedral is found in the northeastern part of Hinsdale County. It sits on the east side of Cebolla Creek. This creek flows north and eventually joins the Gunnison River.
Getting Around Cathedral
The community is located where two county roads meet: County Road 50 and County Road 45.
- County Road 50 goes southwest for about 15 miles (24 km). It leads to Colorado State Highway 149 at a place called Slumgullion Pass.
- From Slumgullion Pass, Lake City, which is the main town in Hinsdale County, is about 9 miles (14 km) to the northwest.
- County Road 50 also goes north from Cathedral. It enters Gunnison County and then connects to County Road 27. This road goes for about 16 miles (26 km) to Highway 149 at Powderhorn.
