Her time on Coronation Street

Catherine Tyldesley first appeared on Coronation Street in 2006 as a midwife. In May 2011, she was chosen for a regular role as Eva Price. She started filming her scenes that same month. Tyldesley said she felt "incredibly lucky" to get the part because many people wanted the role. She also felt "nervous" when she first started filming, especially in the famous Rovers pub set. She was very excited to be part of such a well-known show.
Producers were very impressed with her acting. They decided to keep her on the show as a permanent cast member. She signed a new contract, and it was announced that her character, Eva, would have some exciting storylines. In 2012, Tyldesley shared that she hoped to stay on the show for a long time. She said she had always wanted to be in Coronation Street.
Eva was described as a "feisty" character. Tyldesley explained that Eva was a bit of a "princess" who had been spoiled. This made her a bit demanding and a "drama queen" who liked to get her own way. However, Tyldesley also said that Eva had a softer side that viewers would see later.
In December 2017, Catherine Tyldesley announced she would be leaving the show. Her last scenes as Eva Price aired on 3 August 2018.

A misunderstanding about a cake
In August 2023, Catherine Tyldesley spoke on Instagram about a misunderstanding. This was about cakes for her 40th birthday party. A party planner, working for her, had asked a bakery owner named Rebecca Severs to make two large cakes and 100 cupcakes. The planner suggested that the bakery would get publicity in return for the cakes.
The bakery owner, Rebecca Severs, shared her reply on Facebook. She explained that her business needed to be paid with money, not just promotion. Tyldesley later said she did not know these emails were being sent. She explained that the event company involved was "amazing" and had helped her before. She felt they were misunderstood in this situation.
