Catherine Mary Ann Tyldesley (born 17 September 1983) is an English actress. She is famous for playing Iris Moss in the BBC drama Lilies and Eva Price on the ITV soap opera Coronation Street. She also starred as Karen Norris in the BBC comedy show Scarborough.
In 2019, Catherine competed in the popular dancing show Strictly Come Dancing.

Early Life and Education
Catherine Mary Ann Tyldesley was born on 17 September 1983, in Walkden, a town in Greater Manchester, England. She went to St. George's RC High School and Pendleton College.
Later, she trained to be an actress at the Birmingham School of Acting. She graduated in 2005 and started her career.
Acting Career
Catherine has appeared in many popular British TV shows. These include Holby City, Shameless, and Trollied. Her first major role was in 2007, when she played Iris Moss in the BBC drama Lilies.
Besides acting, Catherine is also a talented singer with a mezzo-soprano voice. She has also worked as a model.
Coronation Street
In 2011, Catherine joined the cast of the famous soap opera Coronation Street as Eva Price. She was very excited to get the part because the show is a British legend. Producers were impressed with her acting, and she became a main character.
Eva Price was known for being a "princess" who was a bit of a drama queen and liked to get her own way. Catherine said that Eva's glamorous style, with big hair and fake eyelashes, was fun to wear but sometimes felt a little over-the-top.
Catherine left the show in 2018. However, she returned to play Eva again in 2025.
Other TV and Film Roles
In 2019, Catherine competed on the seventeenth series of Strictly Come Dancing. She was partnered with professional dancer Johannes Radebe. They were the fifth couple to be eliminated from the competition.
That same year, she starred in the BBC comedy series Scarborough. In recent years, she has appeared in episodes of McDonald and Dodds and the murder mystery show The Good Ship Murder.
In 2016, she also released her first music album, called Rise.
Personal Life
Catherine Tyldesley is related to the former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan, who is her second cousin.
In August 2014, Catherine announced that she and her partner, Tom Pitfield, were expecting a baby. They got engaged later that month. Their son, Alfie James, was born on 18 March 2015.
Catherine and Tom got married on 21 May 2016. In October 2021, they announced they were expecting their second child. Their daughter, Iris Ella, was born on 19 April 2022.
'Cake Gate' Incident
In August 2023, a story appeared online involving Catherine's 40th birthday party. A bakery owner in West Yorkshire said that a party planner asked for free cakes for the party. In return, the planner offered publicity on social media.
The baker, Rebecca Severs, posted her refusal on Facebook. She explained that she could not pay her bills with "exposure on Instagram."
Catherine later said on Instagram that she did not know about the request. She stated that the event company was "completely misrepresented" in the situation. Her response to the baker was criticized by some people online.
