Cecilia Cheung Pak-chi (Chinese: 張栢芝) is a famous actress and singer from Hong Kong. She was born on May 24, 1980. Cecilia is known as a "Sing girl" because she first became famous by starring alongside actor Stephen Chow. After that, she built a very successful career of her own.

Early Life and Education
Cecilia Cheung was born in Hong Kong. Her parents divorced when she was nine years old. When she was fourteen, she moved to Melbourne, Australia, to live with her aunt. She attended Camberwell Girls Grammar School there. Cecilia has an older half-sister, two younger brothers, and a younger half-brother.
Acting and Singing Career
Cecilia Cheung started her career in 1998. She appeared in a TV commercial for lemon tea. This commercial caught the eye of famous actor and director Stephen Chow.
Her first movie role was in Chow's film King of Comedy (1999). This movie was a huge success and made Cecilia very famous. In the same year, she also starred in Fly Me to Polaris (1999) and sang its theme song. She was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 19th Hong Kong Film Awards for both films. She won the award for Fly Me to Polaris. Also in 1999, Cecilia released her first music album, Any Weather.
Cecilia also worked in the Korean film industry. She starred in Failan (2001) with Choi Min-shik. This role earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the Grand Bell Awards. She then starred in the comedy film The Lion Roars (2002) alongside Louis Koo. For this movie, she won the Most Popular Actress award at the Chinese Film Media Awards.
In 2003, Cecilia reunited with Louis Koo in the film Lost in Time. Her performance in this movie won her the Best Actress award at the Hong Kong Film Awards. She was nominated for Best Actress at the Hong Kong Film Awards again for her role in One Nite in Mongkok (2004).
In 2008, Cecilia played the famous Shanghai singer Zhou Xuan in the TV series The Wandering Songstress. After this, she took a break from acting to focus on her family. She returned to acting in 2010.
In 2013, she took another break from acting and moved to Singapore. Since then, Cecilia has focused on appearing in popular variety shows in mainland China. She has been very successful in these shows. In early 2021, she joined the second season of the Chinese reality series Sisters Who Make Waves.
Personal Life
Cecilia Cheung married Hong Kong star Nicholas Tse in September 2006. They had their first son in August 2007 and their second son in May 2010. The couple divorced in 2011. They decided to share custody of their two sons.
On November 18, 2018, Cecilia announced that she had given birth to a third son.
In March 2020, Cecilia Cheung publicly supported Xinjiang cotton. This happened after some international companies decided not to buy cotton from that region.
