Cedric R. Hunter (born January 16, 1965) is an American former professional basketball player. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas. Cedric was a 6-foot-tall (183 cm) point guard, which means he was a player who usually brings the ball up the court and sets up plays for his team. He weighed 180 pounds (82 kg) and played college basketball at the University of Kansas.

Playing in College
Cedric Hunter played for the Kansas Jayhawks from 1983 to 1987. He was a key player on the team.
Reaching the Final Four
In 1986, Cedric was part of the Kansas Jayhawks team that made it to the NCAA Final Four. This is a huge achievement in college basketball, where only the top four teams in the country compete for the championship. Because of his great play, Cedric is now a member of the University of Kansas Basketball Hall of Fame.

After college, Cedric Hunter continued his basketball journey as a professional player.
Playing in the NBA
Cedric was signed by the NBA team, the Charlotte Hornets, in 1992. He played one game for them during the 1991–92 season.

After his basketball career ended, Cedric Hunter stayed in Omaha, Nebraska, with his family. As of 2022, he works as a behavioral counselor at Boys Town Day School. This organization helps children and families.
