Centreville is a small village in the state of Michigan, USA. It is also the main town, or "county seat," of St. Joseph County. In 2020, about 1,319 people lived here.

History of Centreville
Centreville started as a small settlement around a tavern. This tavern was built in 1831 by a settler named Thomas W. Langley. The area officially became a village in 1837.
The St. Joseph County Courthouse was built in 1842. This building is an important part of the village's history.
A large Amish community was formed here in 1910. Today, it is the biggest Amish community in Michigan.
Centreville is also home to two important historical places. These are the Langley Covered Bridge and the Leverett and Amanda Clapp House.
