Bilgin Özçalkan (born on December 31, 1976), known by his stage name Ceza, is a famous Turkish rapper, singer, and songwriter. His stage name "Ceza" means "punishment" in Turkish. He is known for his fast rapping style and powerful lyrics.

Early Music Journey

Ceza started his music career in 1995 with a group called U.C.S. He performed with them for about three years. Later, in 2000, his group Nefret signed with Hammer Music. They released an album called Meclis Ala – İstanbul.

In 2001, Ceza released his solo album, Anahtar. The main song from the album, also called "Anahtar," was his first music video. This album was very successful, and Ceza performed many concerts to promote it.

A big moment for Ceza came in 2004. He was invited to perform at RockIstanbul, which is one of Turkey's largest rock festivals. This was a great chance for him to show his rap music to a wider audience. He performed alongside many popular Turkish music artists.

In 2005, at the Rock'n Coke music festival, Ceza responded to comments made by singer Kıraç. Kıraç had said that rap was not "real music." Ceza performed a freestyle rap to express his feelings about these comments.

After these events, Ceza worked with the artist Mercan Dede on his album Su, which means "Water."

About Ceza's Life
