Champdor was a small town, or "commune," in eastern France. It was located in the Ain department. In 2016, Champdor joined with another town, Corcelles, to form a new, larger commune called Champdor-Corcelles. This means Champdor is no longer a separate commune on its own.
Where is Champdor?
Champdor is in the eastern part of France. It is found in the Ain department. A river called the Albarine flows through the area. This river also forms part of the northwestern border of what used to be the Champdor commune.
How Many People Lived There?
Before it merged with Corcelles, Champdor was a small community. The number of people living there changed a little over the years.
- In 2006, about 438 people lived in Champdor.
- By 2011, the population had grown slightly to 465 people.
- In 2021, after the merger, the population for the former Champdor area was recorded as 440 people.
