Chatime (Chinese: 日出茶太; pinyin: Rìchūchátài; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Ji̍t-chhut Tê-thài) is a super popular Taiwanese company. It's known for its delicious bubble tea and other drinks. Chatime is actually the biggest bubble tea company in the world! It has more than 2,500 stores in over 38 countries. This company grew by letting other people open Chatime stores, which is called franchising.
Chatime opened its first store outside of Taiwan in California, USA, in 2006. Since then, it has spread all over the world. You can find Chatime in places like Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Japan, and many more countries.

The Story of Chatime
Chatime was started in 2005 by a person named Henry Wang. He founded the company in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The main company that owns Chatime is called La Kaffa Coffee.
How Chatime Grew Big
Chatime quickly started opening stores in other countries. In 2006, they opened their first international store in California, USA. Then, in 2009, they opened stores in Australia, where they now have over 70 locations!
In 2010, Chatime expanded to Malaysia. The stores in Malaysia have become a very important part of Chatime's business. By 2013, Malaysia had opened its 100th Chatime store.
Chatime also opened stores in famous places like the Mall of America in the United States in 2012. You can find Chatime stores in many cities across Canada, including Vancouver, Halifax, and Toronto. They also have stores in Bangladesh, like in Dhaka and Chittagong.

Chatime is famous for its "pearl" milk tea, which is their best-selling drink. "Pearls" are those chewy tapioca balls often found in bubble tea.

Bubble Tea in the Sky
In 2012, AirAsia, a big airline, announced something amazing. They started offering Chatime drinks on their flights! This made Chatime the first bubble tea brand ever to be available in the sky. Passengers could enjoy special bubble tea flavors like Roasted Milk Tea with Red Bean.
Chatime and WeChat
Chatime also became the first drink company in Malaysia to have an official account on WeChat, a popular messaging app. To celebrate, Chatime gave away a million cups of drinks through digital coupons on the WeChat app!
