Chen Linong (born October 3, 2000) is a popular singer and actor from Taiwan. He became well-known after joining the Chinese boy group Nine Percent. He earned his spot in the group by finishing second on the TV show Idol Producer. In 2018, he also started his solo music career. His first solo song was "我是你的 (I'm Yours)". He later released his first solo album, Unbelonging, in 2020.

Chen Linong was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He was discovered by a company called A Legend Star Entertainment Corp.. He trained with them for six months before moving to mainland China to pursue his career.

Chen Linong's Career

Starting Out: Idol Producer and Nine Percent (2018-2019)

In 2018, Chen Linong joined a reality TV show called Idol Producer. This show gave young talents a chance to become part of a new boy group. Chen did very well, finishing in second place. On April 6, 2018, he officially joined the group Nine Percent. The group released their first music, an extended play called To the Nines.

After the show, Chen also started his own music journey. He released his first solo song, "我是你的 (I'm Yours)", on October 3, 2018.

Solo Music and Acting (2020-Present)

The group Nine Percent finished their activities on October 6, 2019. After that, Chen Linong released his first full album, Unbelonging (格格不入), on May 29, 2020. This album had 12 songs. Some songs were collaborations with other singers like Hailee Steinfeld and Lala Hsu. The album was very successful. It quickly sold over 500,000 copies on a music platform called QQ Music. This earned it a "double diamond certification."

Besides music, Chen Linong also started acting. On December 4, 2020, he starred in the movie Soul Snatcher. He played the main character, Wang Zijin, alongside actor Li Xian. The movie did well, earning $19.5 million at the Chinese box office.
