Christopher Allen Jefferies (born February 13, 1980) is an American former professional basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for two teams. These teams were the Toronto Raptors and the Chicago Bulls. Before playing professionally, he played college basketball. He played for the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Fresno State Bulldogs.

Chris Jefferies started his college basketball journey at Arkansas. After his first year, he transferred to Fresno State University.
Achievements at Fresno State
At Fresno State, Chris became a star player. In his second year, he earned several important awards. He was named to the First Team All-Western Athletic Conference (WAC). He also made the All-Defensive Team. This means he was one of the best defensive players in the conference. The media also named him the WAC Newcomer of the Year. This award is for the best new player in the conference.
Chris Jefferies' Professional Basketball Career
Chris Jefferies was chosen in the 2002 NBA draft. This is where NBA teams pick new players from college. He was the 27th player picked overall. The Los Angeles Lakers originally drafted him.
Playing for the Raptors and Bulls
Soon after being drafted, Chris's draft rights were traded. He went to the Toronto Raptors along with another player, Lindsey Hunter. In return, the Lakers received Tracy Murray and Kareem Rush. Chris played for the Raptors for a short time. Later, during the 2003–04 season, he was traded again. This time, he joined the Chicago Bulls.
