At Fresno State, he became a standout player. In his second year there, he earned several honors. He was named to the First Team All-Western Athletic Conference (WAC). Professional NBA Career

Chris Jefferies was chosen in the 2002 NBA draft. This is an event where NBA teams pick new players from colleges. He was the 27th player picked overall in the first round. The Los Angeles Lakers originally drafted him from Fresno State.

However, his draft rights were soon traded. He went to the Toronto Raptors along with another player, Lindsey Hunter. In return, the Lakers received Tracy Murray and the rights to Kareem Rush. Jefferies played for the Raptors for a short time.

Later, during the 2003–04 season, he was traded again. This time, he joined the Chicago Bulls. His final NBA game was on April 14, 2004. In that game, the Bulls lost to the Indiana Pacers. Chris scored 2 points and had 5 fouls as a starting player.

During his time in the NBA, Chris Jefferies played in 72 games. He started 12 of those games. On average, he scored 3.9 points and grabbed 1.2 rebounds per game. Chris is also the half-brother of Nate Jefferies, who was a basketball star at Immanuel High School.
