Easton is a small community in Fresno County, California, United States. It used to be known as Covel or Covell. Easton is a "census-designated place" (CDP). This means it's a community that the government counts for population, but it's not officially a city or town.
Easton is located about 7.5 miles (12.1 km) south of downtown Fresno. It sits at an elevation of 276 feet (84 meters) above sea level.

History
The Easton post office first opened in 1881. It moved once in 1883 and then closed in 1902. Later, it reopened in 1952. The community was named after O.W. Easton, who was a land agent in the area.
