Christopher Mario Johnson (born September 25, 1979) is a former American football player. He played as a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). Chris was chosen by the Green Bay Packers in the 2003 NFL draft. He also played college football at Louisville. Johnson was also a member of the St. Louis Rams, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, and Baltimore Ravens.

Early Life and College Football
Chris Johnson was born in Gladewater, Texas. He played football at Pine Tree High School. In his final year, he made 12 interceptions. This helped his team achieve a good record of 7 wins and 3 losses.
After high school, Johnson went to Blinn College in Brenham, Texas. Later, he transferred to the University of Louisville. There, he played football for two years. He studied administration of justice. At Louisville, Johnson made 44 tackles and defended seven passes.
In the 2001 Liberty Bowl, a big college game, Johnson started for his team. He made an important interception late in the game. This helped the Louisville Cardinals win against the BYU Cougars with a score of 28–10.

Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers picked Chris Johnson in the seventh round of the 2003 NFL draft. He was the 245th player chosen overall.
St. Louis Rams
In the 2005 NFL season, Johnson was traded to the St. Louis Rams. He played in 14 games for the Rams, starting in one. He made 24 tackles. Chris also returned 38 kickoffs for 857 yards. One of these returns was a 99-yard touchdown!
Kansas City Chiefs
Johnson signed with the Kansas City Chiefs before the 2006 season. However, he was released by the team before that season began.
Oakland Raiders
On March 19, 2007, Chris Johnson joined the Oakland Raiders. He played in 13 games as a cornerback and on special teams. He made 10 tackles on special teams.
In 2008, after playing for six seasons in the NFL, Johnson made his first career interception. This happened in a game against the San Diego Chargers. He caught a pass thrown by quarterback Philip Rivers. Johnson became a starter after the Raiders released another cornerback. He then made his second interception by catching a pass from Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Tyler Thigpen.
In 2009, he signed a new contract with the Raiders. He stayed with the team until he was released on March 9, 2012.
Baltimore Ravens
On November 13, 2012, Johnson signed with the Baltimore Ravens. He joined as a backup player because other cornerbacks on the team were injured. In his first game with the Ravens, he forced a fumble by Mike Wallace. This helped the Ravens win the game 13–10.
That same year, Chris Johnson won the Super Bowl with the Ravens. It was the only Super Bowl win of his career. On August 19, 2013, Johnson was released by the Ravens.
