Christina Aguilar (Thai: คริสติน่า อากีล่าร์), born on October 31, 1966, is a famous Thai singer often called the "Thai Queen of Dance." She became a superstar with her very first album, Ninja. It sold over one million copies, making her the first female singer in Thailand to achieve this.
She is also the only Thai artist whose first four albums each sold over a million copies. Her third album, Red Beat Rahutraun, sold three million copies. This makes it the best-selling album by a female artist in the history of Thai music. In total, her solo albums have sold more than 10.5 million copies. She even won an award at the MTV Video Music Awards in 1992.

Early Life and Beginnings
Christina Aguilar was born in Bangkok, Thailand. Her father, Tony Aguilar, was a musician from the Philippines, and her mother, Margaret, was French-Vietnamese. Music was a big part of her family life, and they often sang together.
Before becoming a singer, she studied business management in France. She can speak Thai, French, and English fluently. Her friends in France discovered her singing talent when she performed at a college party.
After finishing her studies, she worked for a short time at an advertising agency and a travel agency. Her life changed when she met Rewat Bhuddhinan, a famous producer for GMM Grammy. He saw her potential and invited her to join the music industry.
Music Career
1990–1994: A Star is Born
Aguilar's career took off in 1990 with her first album, Ninja. The title song became a huge hit. The album had fun dance songs like "Plik Lock" and heartfelt ballads like "Hua Jai Kor Ma." It sold over a million copies, a new record for a female artist in Thailand.
In 1992, she released her second album, Arwut Lab. The music video for the song "Jing Mai Klua" won an award at the 1992 MTV Video Music Awards. This album also sold over a million copies, proving she was a true star.
1994–1999: Reaching New Heights

In 1994, Aguilar released Red Beat Rahutraun. This became her most successful album ever. It featured the hit dance song "Mai Yag Rok" and the popular love song "Rak Thur Thee Sood." The album sold an amazing three million copies. It is still the best-selling album by a female artist in Thailand.
A year later, she worked with Thailand's most famous singer, Thongchai McIntyre, on his album Khon Nok Gub Dok Mai (Feather and Flowers). She also joined other popular artists like Tata Young and Jetrin Wattanasin for a special album called 6-2-12. Both of these albums sold over a million copies.
Her next album, Golden Eye, came out in 1997. It had a more mature sound and included the hit song "Pood Eek Thee," which became very popular. This was her fourth album in a row to sell over a million copies.
1999–2007: New Sounds and Styles
In 1999, Aguilar released her fifth album, 5th Avenue, which had a bright and colorful style. The same year, she also released her first album in English.
Her sixth album, Dancing Queen, was released in 2001. Even though music piracy was a big problem at the time, the album sold around 670,000 copies. In 2003, she released Paradise, which had a Latin sound and sold over 760,000 copies. Her eighth album, C.Space, came out in 2007.
2008–Present: Concerts and Special Projects
Since 2007, Aguilar has focused more on live shows and concerts. She has performed in many special events, often celebrating her long and successful career.
- 20th Anniversary: In 2011, she held concerts to celebrate 20 years in the music industry.
- 25th Anniversary: In 2016, she performed in the "Christina Kingdom Concert."
- Million Albums Concert: Also in 2016, she performed with other top female artists like Tata Young and Mai Charoenpura.
