Chuck Darby (born October 22, 1975) is a former American football player. He played as a defensive tackle, a strong player on the defense who tries to stop the other team from running the ball. Chuck Darby played for several teams during his career. These teams included the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Seattle Seahawks, and the Detroit Lions.
He is best known for winning a Super Bowl ring with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This big win happened in Super Bowl XXXVII. He also played in another Super Bowl, Super Bowl XL, as a starter for the Seattle Seahawks.

Early Life and High School Football
Chuck Darby grew up in North, South Carolina. He went to North High School. While there, he was a very good football player. He played football for all four years of high school. His skills were so good that he was chosen as an All-State player. This means he was one of the best players in the entire state.
College Football Career
After high school, Chuck Darby continued his football journey. He played college football at South Carolina State University. He played for coach Willie Jeffries and was a strong player for the South Carolina State Bulldogs. Playing in college helped him get ready for the professional league.
Playing in the NFL
Chuck Darby joined the NFL in 1998. He was first signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2001. He joined them as an undrafted free agent. This means no team picked him in the NFL Draft, but the Buccaneers still wanted him on their team.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2000–2004)
